Hello Friends!

I know it’s been a minute since I’ve used this blog, but I’m really wanting to start posting more about my photoshoots, weddings, and other EB Photography related happenings! One of the wonderful things about being a photographer is the joy I get to share with each of my clients when we work together, no matter the occasion. And I want to take this opportunity to share that joy. 

Anyone who knows me knows I love the sky, sunsets especially. So what better way to get back on the blog than with Abigail’s sunset maternity shoot at the farm! 

This shoot was special to me for so many reasons. It’s so easy sometimes to get lost in the business part of photography, and let it dampen the creativity or fun. Shoots like these remind me why I love photography, and why I decided to turn that love into a career. Abigail was so easy to direct and our conversation throughout the session helped these images look so relaxed and genuine (not to mention her pregnancy glow in golden hour light was absolutely stunning!)

While we were shooting, I asked her to tell me about Corey, her husband, and their story. They are both in the military (he’s Army, she’s Air Force), and he is currently deployed. I could hear the joy in Abigail’s voice when she talked about having some photos to send to Corey while he’s so far away. It was such an honor to get to take these photos for this awesome couple. 

I can't wait to meet this tiny human in December (due Christmas Day!), and I can't wait to see Abigail be a mom. These pics with her friend's little one prove she's already a natural.

I'm still so overwhelmed with how beautiful and sweet this shoot was. I left feeling those warm fuzzy feelings that tell me I'm on the right path. I am so grateful to each and every one of my clients for all the warm fuzzies over the years.
